On the fibrous trunk sits a full crown of large, hand-shaped fan leaves, so you immediately have a mature palm tree in the garden.

As a hardy palm, it's suitable for a garden, a courtyard or a large terrace. It grows in sun and partial shade, preferably in a spot sheltered from strong wind. Water regularly during dry spells and make sure the soil is free-draining. Planted out in the garden it can cope with a good deal of frost; if it stays in a pot, protect the roots with insulation around the pot during hard frost. It is delivered in the grow pot and can go straight into the ground.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0935/6430/5754/files/waaierpalm-trachycarpus-fortunei-240cm.jpg?v=1790616717
