Pros and cons

According to our plant experts

Pro: Needs no water or light, so it can also stand in a dark spot.
Pro: Always keeps its shape and never drops leaves.
Pro: Striped leaves in a small 20 cm size.
Con: Doesn't purify the air or grow like a real plant does.
Con: Collects dust, so you'll need to dust it now and then.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

When will your plant arrive?

Frequently asked questions about Philodendron 'Birkin'

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How do you clean an artificial Philodendron Birkin?

Dust it now and then with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to keep the leaves looking fresh. The artificial Philodendron Birkin needs no other maintenance: no water and no light.

How realistic does an artificial Philodendron Birkin look?

It is a lifelike replica, with green leaves with light stripes. From a few metres away, most people won't notice it is an artificial plant. Up close, or if you touch the leaves, you can tell it isn't real.

Will an artificial Philodendron Birkin fit in a decorative pot?

The artificial Philodendron Birkin comes in a standard pot (ø9 cm, depending on the size). Place it, pot and all, in a decorative pot a few centimetres wider and the pot won't show. As it never gets water, the decorative pot doesn't need a watertight base.

Can you put an artificial Philodendron Birkin outside or in the sun?

Ja.

How is an artificial Philodendron Birkin delivered?

We ship the artificial Philodendron Birkin well protected in a closed box. You will usually receive it within 4 to 5 working days. If anything is damaged on arrival, send us photos and we will sort out a solution.
