Artificial eucalyptus

Our artificial eucalyptus ranges from small table plants to almost 2 metres, with green leaves or in white, purple, yellow and mixed colours. Every version is UV-resistant, can stand indoors or outdoors and never needs watering.

Which size to choose

The 12 artificial plants in this collection range from 21 to 180 cm tall. We measure from the bottom of the pot to the tallest leaf. Roughly speaking there are four sizes. The small 21 cm one fits on a shelf, windowsill or desk. At around 86 cm you have a plant for a sideboard or next to a chair. Between 120 and 140 cm the eucalyptus stands on the floor and fills a corner. The 180 cm blue gum is an artificial tree that dresses an empty wall or hallway. Looking for more trees this size? Green or coloured

Green eucalyptus with its grey-green, round leaves is the calmest choice and suits almost any interior. The colours are a deliberate style choice. White looks light and suits a Scandinavian or country-style interior. Purple and yellow add an accent to an otherwise calm room. For the multicoloured version, the product photo shows which shades it includes. White comes in 86 cm, purple and multicoloured in 86 and 120 cm, and yellow in 125 cm.

Styling with a Mediterranean feel

Eucalyptus goes with a sunny, southern look. Put it in a terracotta or natural stone pot and pair it with an artificial olive tree for a Mediterranean corner. In a sleek, modern interior, a green eucalyptus works well as a soft counterpoint to straight lines. Small ones also look lovely in a group on a windowsill, at different heights.

Placement and maintenance

An artificial eucalyptus needs no care. So you can also put it in a room without a window, such as a toilet or hallway. It is UV-resistant, so a sunny windowsill or a spot on the patio works too, without the colour fading. The many small leaves catch dust, so a feather duster or a hairdryer on the cold setting works better than a cloth.

Does an artificial eucalyptus smell?

No. The familiar scent of eucalyptus comes from the oil in the leaves of the real plant. An artificial eucalyptus is odourless. Many people see that as an advantage, for example in a bedroom or office, where not everyone likes a strong scent.

Can an artificial eucalyptus go in the bathroom?

Yes, moisture does not affect an artificial plant. An artificial eucalyptus suits a bathroom well, even one without a window. People often hang real eucalyptus branches by the shower for the scent. An artificial version gives the same green look, just without the scent. Wipe it now and then to prevent limescale build-up.

What is a blue gum tree?

Blue gum is the common name for Eucalyptus globulus, a eucalyptus species from Australia with blue-grey leaves. As a 180 cm artificial plant it has the shape of a small tree. That makes it the largest artificial eucalyptus in this collection.

Does an artificial eucalyptus look real?

Eucalyptus works well as an artificial plant, because the real plant already has matt, grey-green leaves. That colour and texture are easy to recreate. The green versions come closest to the real plant. The white, purple and yellow versions are deliberately decorative and are not meant to look like a real eucalyptus.
