Calathea orbifolia, now also called Goeppertia orbifolia, has broad, round leaves with light, silvery-green stripes on a fresh green background. This plant is 65 cm tall including nursery pot and comes in a ø21 cm pot.

It does well in a living room, bedroom or bathroom with daylight, where the air is somewhat more humid. Choose a bright spot without direct sunlight, as the sun fades and burns the leaves. Keep the soil slightly moist but never wet, preferably using low-lime water at room temperature. Calathea is listed by the ASPCA as non-toxic to cats and dogs. It is supplied in the nursery pot; choose a decorative pot separately.
