Where should you place an Epipremnum aureum?
In a bright spot without direct sunlight. It also tolerates partial shade, but then the yellow variegation becomes less pronounced and it grows more slowly.
How often should you water an Epipremnum aureum?
Keep the potting soil slightly moist and allow the top layer to dry out in between, usually once a week in summer. In winter, a small amount once a week is enough.
Is Epipremnum aureum toxic to cats and dogs?
Yes, Epipremnum aureum is toxic to cats and dogs. The leaves contain calcium oxalate, which irritates the mouth and stomach. Hang or place it out of reach if you have pets that chew on plants.
Can you propagate an Epipremnum aureum?
Yes, very easily. Cut off a piece of vine below a node and place it in a glass of water. After a few weeks, it will have roots and you can pot it up.
Why is my Epipremnum aureum getting yellow leaves?
One yellow leaf at the bottom is normal. If several leaves turn yellow, the soil has often stayed wet for too long. Let it dry out a little more before watering again.
