Het mag wel wat plant vriendelijker worden bezorgd. De plant kwam een beetje beschadigd aan. Door dat de bladeren op een onjuiste manier in de doos waren gestopt. Verder is het een mooie plant.

Veelgestelde vragen over Vaccinium corymbosum
De vragen die we het vaakst krijgen over deze plant. Staat jouw vraag er niet bij? Onze plantexperts helpen je graag.
Stel je vraagHow many blueberry plants do you need?
A blueberry shrub grows 1 to 2 metres tall and wide; plant them about 1 to 1.5 metres apart. With several shrubs together, pollination is better and the harvest larger.
When do you plant a blueberry plant?
In spring, from March to April, or in autumn, in October and November. Water well after planting, preferably with rainwater.
What soil does a blueberry plant need?
Blueberries only grow well in acidic, humus-rich soil, such as ericaceous soil or potting compost for rhododendrons. In ordinary or chalky garden soil the leaves turn yellow and the harvest stays small. Make the planting hole generous and fill it with acidic soil, or put the shrub in a large pot.
When can you pick blueberries?
The shrub flowers in April and May with white bells. The berries are ripe in summer, roughly from July into September, when they are completely blue. Young plants bear little fruit in the first years.
Is a blueberry plant hardy?
Yes, Vaccinium corymbosum is hardy and copes well with frost in the open ground. The shrub drops its leaves in autumn. In a pot it is wise to move the pot against the house wall in severe frost.
