Species: Peperomia 'Hope' · Height: 12 cm (including nursery pot) · Pot size: ø6 cm

Peperomia 'Hope' is a small houseplant with round, thick leaves that grow in whorls of three or four along the stems. The foliage is fresh green, slightly fleshy and stores water. This plant is 12 cm tall including nursery pot and comes in a pot of ø6 cm.

It first grows upright and later starts to creep or trail, so it is equally at home on a desk or a bookshelf. A good choice if you have little time, as it needs little water. Place it in light to partial shade without bright sun and let the soil dry out between waterings. Peperomia is listed by the ASPCA as non-toxic to cats and dogs.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Peperomia 'Hope'

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How large does a Peperomia Hope grow?

This Peperomia Hope is 12 cm tall including nursery pot, in a pot of ø6 cm. It stays small and the stems will eventually creep or trail, to around 30 cm long.

Where should you place a Peperomia Hope?

In a bright spot without harsh midday sun, although partial shade is also fine. It looks lovely on a shelf or in a hanging pot, where the stems can trail over.

How often should you water a Peperomia Hope?

Sparingly: wait until the soil is mostly dry, about once a week in summer and less in winter. The thick leaves store water, so overwatering is a greater risk than underwatering.

Is a Peperomia Hope toxic to cats?

No, Peperomia is listed by the ASPCA as non-toxic to cats and dogs. This makes it a safe plant for a home with pets.

Why are the leaves of my Peperomia Hope becoming soft or yellow?

Soft, yellow or translucent leaves almost always indicate too much water. Let the soil dry out thoroughly and check that no water remains at the bottom of the pot.
