Calathea ornata is a pinstripe calathea with elongated, oval leaves in glossy dark green, decorated with fine pink stripes. The underside of the leaf is deep purple, which you see when the leaf rises. This plant is 75 cm tall including the nursery pot and comes in a pot of ø19 cm.

It suits the living room, bedroom or a bright bathroom, in a warm spot with indirect light or partial shade. Direct sunlight damages the leaves. Keep the soil slightly moist with low-lime water and provide humid air to keep the leaf edges green. According to the ASPCA, Calathea is non-toxic to cats and dogs. It comes in a nursery pot; you can choose a decorative pot yourself.
