Details

Four young Scindapsus pictus plants with heart-shaped, dark green leaves full of silver spots. A calm trailing plant that tolerates a forgotten watering well.

Species: Scindapsus pictus · Quantity: 4 plants · Height: 15 cm per plant (including nursery pot) · Pot size: ø12 cm per plant

Scindapsus pictus is a trailing plant with sturdy, heart-shaped dark green leaves with silvery spots. It is often confused with Epipremnum, but its leaves are thicker and more matte. You will receive four young plants, 15 cm tall including nursery pot, in pots of ø12 cm.

Let the vines hang over a shelf or windowsill, or give them a small climbing support. Because the leaves are somewhat thicker, it tolerates it well if you forget to water it once. A bright spot without direct sunlight keeps the silver pattern at its best. Water when the top layer of potting soil is dry and do not leave water standing in the pot. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Scindapsus pictus

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How large are these Scindapsus pictus plants?

Each plant is 15 cm tall including nursery pot and comes in a pot of ø12 cm. You receive four. Over the years, the vines grow one to two metres long.

What is the difference between Scindapsus pictus and Epipremnum?

They look alike and are both called scindapsus, but they are two genera. Scindapsus pictus has thicker, more matte leaves with silver spots and grows somewhat more slowly.

Where should you place a Scindapsus pictus?

In a bright spot without direct sunlight. It tolerates partial shade, but then the silver pattern becomes less pronounced.

How often should you water a Scindapsus pictus?

Water when the top layer of potting soil is dry, about once a week in summer. Curling leaves are often a sign that it needs water.

Is Scindapsus pictus toxic to cats and dogs?

Yes, Scindapsus pictus is toxic to cats and dogs. The leaves contain calcium oxalate, which causes irritation to the mouth and stomach. Hang or place it out of reach if you have pets that chew on plants.
