Strelitzia Reginae
The Strelitzia Reginae is one of the most recognizable tropical houseplants. This species is known for its spectacular orange-blue flowers that resemble a bird of paradise. Unlike the Nicolai, the Reginae remains more compact, making it suitable for living rooms, conservatories, and bright offices.
With sufficient light and proper care, the Strelitzia Reginae can bloom indoors. The more sunlight it receives, the greater the chance of flowers.
Location
Place the plant in a spot with plenty of light. Direct sunlight is not a problem. The brighter the location, the better its growth and flowering.
Watering
Water regularly during the growing season (spring and summer). The potting soil should remain slightly moist. Water less in winter.
Flowering
Orange with blue flowers
Usually blooms from a few years old
Plenty of light is essential
Why choose Strelitzia Reginae?
More compact growth than Nicolai
Can bloom indoors
Tropical appearance
Strong and relatively easy plant
Are you looking for a flowering tropical houseplant with character? Then the Strelitzia Reginae is an excellent choice.
