Pros and cons

According to our plant experts

Pro: Heeft geen water of licht nodig, dus kan ook op een donkere plek staan.
Pro: Blijft altijd in vorm en laat geen blad vallen.
Pro: Bont blad in een klein formaat van 23 of 25 cm.
Con: Doesn't purify the air or grow like a real plant does.
Con: Collects dust, so you'll need to dust it now and then.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Hoya carnosa

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How do you clean an artificial Hoya Variegata?

Dust it now and then with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to keep the leaves looking fresh. The artificial Hoya Variegata needs no other care: no water and no light.

How real does an artificial Hoya Variegata look?

It is a lifelike replica, with variegated, fleshy leaves. From a few metres away most people cannot tell it is artificial. Up close, or if you touch the leaves, you can tell it is not real.

Does an artificial Hoya Variegata fit in a decorative pot?

The artificial Hoya Variegata comes in a plain pot (ø9 cm, depending on the size). Place it, pot and all, in a decorative pot a few centimetres wider and the plain pot won't show. As it never gets watered, the decorative pot doesn't need a watertight base.

Can you put an artificial Hoya Variegata outside or in the sun?

Yes. The artificial Hoya Variegata is UV and weather resistant, so it can also go outside, for example on the patio or balcony. The colours stay looking good, even in the sun. Outdoors, do position it firmly or weigh down the pot so it doesn't blow over in strong wind.

Hoe wordt een kunst Hoya Variegata bezorgd?

We ship the artificial Hoya Variegata well protected in a closed box. Your order usually arrives within 4 to 5 working days. If anything is damaged on arrival, just send us photos and we will sort out a solution.
