Pros and cons

According to our plant experts

Pro: Needs no water or light, so it can also go in a dark spot.
Pro: Always keeps its shape and never drops leaves.
Pro: A stately tree shape that you rarely see as a real plant indoors.
Con: Doesn't purify the air or grow like a real plant does.
Con: Collects dust, so you'll need to dust it now and then.

Delivery

Shipping a two-metre plant takes more than a box and some tape. That's why we do it differently from an ordinary online shop.

How your plant arrives in one piece

Fresh from the greenhouse
Your plant does not sit in a warehouse for weeks. The grower only takes it out of the greenhouse after you order and prepares it straight away.
Packed securely
In a box made for plants. Plant and soil are secured and a protective sleeve keeps the leaves intact, so nothing shifts on the way.
Protected from heat and frost
Is it very hot or freezing outside? Then we add a cold pack or heat pack to the box, so the weather doesn't affect your plant on the way.
The right carrier for every size
Smaller plants are delivered by PostNL or DHL. The very largest plants travel upright on a pallet with a specialist carrier.
You know exactly when it arrives
As soon as your plant is on its way, you receive track & trace by email, so you can make sure someone is home and, for a large plant, someone to help carry it in.

Frequently asked questions about Quercus sp.

The questions we're asked most about this plant. Can't find yours? Our plant experts are happy to help.

Ask your question

How do you clean an artificial oak tree?

Dust it now and then with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to keep the leaves looking fresh. The artificial oak tree needs no further care: no water and no light.

How real does an artificial oak tree look?

It is a lifelike replica, with the recognisable oak leaves on branching stems. From a few metres away most people will not notice it is an artificial plant. Up very close, or if you touch the leaves, you can tell it is not real.

Will an artificial oak tree fit in a decorative pot?

The artificial oak tree comes in a standard pot (ø16 to ø20 cm, depending on the size). Place it, pot and all, in a decorative pot a few centimetres wider so the pot is hidden. As it never needs watering, the decorative pot does not need a watertight base.

Can you put an artificial oak tree outside or in the sun?

Ja.

How is an artificial oak tree delivered?

We ship the artificial oak tree well protected in a closed box. The largest plants go with a specialist carrier, otherwise with PostNL or DHL. Delivery usually takes 4 to 5 working days. If anything is damaged on arrival, send us photos and we will sort out a solution.
