The aralia Fabian (Polyscias scutellaria 'Fabian') has round, glossy dark green leaves that grow on short stalks along branching little stems. This compact specimen is 90 cm tall including the grow pot and stands in a pot of ø24 cm. It looks lovely on the floor beside a chair, on a low cabinet or in a bright study. It is a plant for a warm spot; draughts and a cold windowsill cause leaf drop. Place it in a bright spot, out of direct midday sun. Keep the soil evenly moist and let the top layer dry out a little between waterings. It likes slightly higher humidity, so misting it now and then does it good. It is supplied in the grow pot, and a decorative pot is chosen separately.
